Story & Self is a monthly book and self-care subscription box. It is operated by Story & Self LLC, an Arizona limited liability company ("Story & Self," "we," "us," or "our").
This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website at storyandself.co, our email list, and any sign-up forms we run on social platforms, including TikTok and Instagram.
By giving us your information, you agree to the practices described here.

We only collect what we need to run the box and stay in touch with you.
Information you give us
- Your name and email address when you join our waitlist, subscribe to our emails, or sign up through a form on TikTok or another social platform
- Your shipping address, billing details, and order history when you buy a subscription
- Anything you choose to share when you email us, answer a survey, or reply to a message
Information collected automatically
- Basic technical details when you visit our site, such as your browser type, device, and the pages you view
- Whether you open our emails or click the links inside them
We do not collect or store full payment card numbers. Payments are handled by our checkout and payment partners.
How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Send the emails you signed up for, including waitlist updates, launch news, and our welcome guide
- Process and ship your orders and manage your subscription
- Answer your questions and provide customer support
- Understand what our readers enjoy so we can improve the box and our content

Email and social media sign-ups
When you tap Subscribe on our TikTok profile or fill out a sign-up form on any social platform, the information you enter is shared with us so we can add you to our email list. We use it only for the purposes described in this policy.
The platform itself also collects information about you under its own privacy policy. We do not control how TikTok, Instagram, or any other platform handles your data, so please review their policies as well.
Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can opt out at any time, and we will stop sending marketing emails promptly.
Who we share information with
We share your information only with the service providers that help us run the business, and only as much as they need to do their job:
- Our email service provider, which stores our subscriber list and sends our emails
- Our subscription and checkout platform and its payment processors, which handle orders and payments
- Shipping carriers and shipping software, which need your name and address to deliver your box
- Our website host, which serves our site
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers, or the public. If Story & Self is ever sold or merged, customer information may transfer to the new owner, and this policy will continue to apply to it.

Children
Story & Self is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it.
